FUNDRAISING
EVENTS
2006 SECOND CHANCE
FUNDRAISING DRIVE
Many thanks to Amanda
Nelson of Amanda Nelson Canine Massage and Agility Training who will
be holding several events in Cataldo, Idaho throughout the summer of
2006 benefiting Canine Cancer Awareness. Amanda
unforunately knows all too well the devestating effects canine
cancer has in our lives. She recently lost her own beloved
Chance to this terrible disease. This is who this fundraising
drive is dedicated to, and named after.
Amanda, who is a Reiki Master, Certified
Canine Reflexologist and Canine Massage Therapist is offering two
great services to help in our fundraising. For your donation to
CCA of $40.00 or more, you can receive either a Reiki Distance
Healing Session or a personal Bach Flower Consultation. Simply
go to our "You can
help" page and make a donation via Paypal. Please make a
note as to which one of Amanda's service you would like
and she will be in touch with
you.
Also, if you are
in the area, please join Amanda at any of the events listed
below by pampering or training your dog and helping a great
cause at the same time. For detailed information on Amanda and
the services she offers, please visit www.fluidmotionagility.com.

We extend our
appreciation to Dana Billingsley who has taken on her own
fundraising drive for Canine Cancer Awareness. She is raising money
at her local dog bakery (Salty Paws Biscuits) and put a jar at
the counter. The owner of the bakery said she would keep the
jar at the counter through the summer (tourist season) and she hopes
to raise more money "in Milo's name to help people and their
dogs with cancer who may need some help with their bills". So
far, Dana has raised $158.00 for our cause. Thank you Dana! Keep up
the great work!
A Progressive
Raffle was held from September 18th with the drawing taking place on
December 15th, 2004. Though we didn't get the donations we were
hoping for, we still, through the generosity of those who
participated, raised $715.00 for our cause. The lucky winner of the
auction is:
CATHY FELLOWS OF GRAND
RAPIDS MICHIGAN
CONGRATULATIONS CATHY!!!
As our winner, Cathy won a
beautiful basket, donated by Linda Peluso, containing skin care
products, potpourri, candles and other wonderful products as well as
Two Dog Motif photo frames and a Dog Silhouette garden
fence donated by Janet Dykes and a bevy of goodies such as
lucky key tags, travel mugs, drawstring packbacks, mugs and pocket
knives generously donated by Michelle Irvine.
If you didn't win this
time, don't fret. We are planning another raffle in the near future.
Keep checking this page for
details!
Since our inception, we have been
raising funds through sales of our Canine Cancer Awareness dog tags
and ribbons on this website, personal donations, online
auctions, and through items available in our Canine Cancer
Awareness stores.
On September 27th & 28th,
2003, Canine Cancer Awareness held it's very first fundraising event
at the Lewiston/Auburn Kennel Club Dog Show in Topsham, Maine. Our
presence was not only to raise funds for a newly established Canine
Cancer Awareness organization, but most importantly to spread the
word of the prevalence of canine cancer. As our organization grows,
we hope to hold similar informational/fundraising
events throughout the United States.
We look forward to the day where
we have all that is needed for maintenance and fundraising
purposes and can use 100% of the money raised to help
others obtain treatment for their dog. This is our goal and our
purpose.
We would like to acknowledge the
generous donors who made this event possible for
